Albuquerque
Hey guys, I will be visiting Albuquerque for the first time next week. What is the safest area of town and most convenient for you guys? Any areas I should avoid altogether?? Thanks

Hey! Glad to see you making it out to the 505. The midtown area is a pretty good area to be in. Hotels around the airport are usually popular in the hobby. Downtown is nice too but a little pricey and not as populated as you might think. North I25 is another popular hotel area. Would avoid anywhere on Central (Route 66) except downtown. Midtown In The Louisiana and Menaul area would be my recommendation. Would love to see you!

I'm assuming nmman3838 means Uptown area, which yes, that's a great location.

Uptown has a nice shopping area as well. One other option is a few hotels along 'restaurant row' right off I-25 at Jefferson exit. There is Drury Inn, A Residence Inn, Towne Place Suites and a Hampton Inn right in that area. Might be a few dollars less than Uptown.
