i found rawhide chew bones long lasting for my hound, The Mighty Thor. or Thor for short but his AKC registered name was The Mighty Thor. (14th). so 13 losers named their little yorkie that before i registered. bah. whatever. Thor was a pedigreed 105 pound Shiloh German Shepherd. looked about like this but didn't have the bandit mask
Thor once chewed up my company pager. i had it on my belt and was playing tug of war with him in the yard. didn't notice that it came out of the holder. i was oncall that week so when i realized it was gone i went out in the yard and found what was left of it. bad dog Thor! bad dog!
Thor destroyed it. i'm pretty sure he ate some of it as i never found all of it. about 5 pieces, most of it. so next day i go over to the network communications guys who handled the pagers and told my buddy Kevin i need my pager replaced. he said .. "what happened to it?" i replied .. "Thor ate it". he knew Thor of course but still though i was messing with him .. until i laid the pieces of it on his desk, complete with teeth marks on it. he laughed his ass off and got me a new pager and told me "try to keep it away from Thor".
