P10 Pushy with New Food Policy
Before it got busy last night at P10, I sat alone at a table and one of the cocktail servers came up asking me to place a drink order. I asked for a Coke because I just took some medicine that wouldn't have reacted well with alcohol. The cocktail waitress asked what food order I wanted to place. I replied, "I'm good. I don't need any food right now thanks."
She said, "You have to order some food if you're going to order a drink." At first, I respectfully replied, "I just ate a big steak downtown before coming here. I'm really stuffed but thanks."
She replied, "You have to order food. You can pick just an appetizer or something." I said, "Even if I did, I couldn't eat it. It would go to waste. I'm honestly not hungry. I just want a Coke." She snapped at me, "YOU HAVE TO!!!"
Finally, I lost my cool replying, "No I don't." She said, "Yes you do!" I said, "No I don't. You can't make me!" She stormed off and came back with a Coke. After I paid, she threatened that if I don't order food next time, I'll have to leave. I said, "No I won't. You can't make me order food if I'm not hungry. Plus this is just a Coke. It doesn't even count as an alcohol sale."
They are trying to impose this 51% food, 49% alcohol policy on everyone. It is not a matter of me not wanting to spend money. I carry around thousands in cash everywhere I go. It is a matter of not wanting to waste money on food that will get thrown away. If I had not eaten before going, I would have ordered food. I had a $100 steak downtown and was way too full for more food.
At first I am always respectful and polite even when people try to make me pay for stuff I don't want. But once I get pushed past a certain limit, I can lose my cool. I really hate it when stuff like that happens.

I'm sure you could arrange that. Some of those girls are in desperate times and genuinely need the cash. So far I've had a two in the past week bring up trying to hook up outside the club after work. These are desperate times and rent is always due 1st of the month!

The owners (pts/sugars) are living in fantasyland inside disney world. They are trying to come off as breast-raunts (which happen to offer live entertainment). Isnt that what they were classified before? They were on their high-horse claiming to be the #1 clubs in SA (liquor sales-wise cause it sure wasn't for having the hottest chicks). Now it comes back to bite them in the ass. Hey if they were making that kind of cash, they can't dip into their 'retained earnings' and show some kind of loyalty to their workers? Fuck no. Let them get what they deserve. I know sugars raised their drink prices like twice last year and maybe the year prior. I warned henry about that. It went in 1 drunk ear and out the other. The bigger they are they harder they fall; guess it rings true. Fuck 'em both.

Yeah whether guys don't enter these establishments because they're afraid of covid, or because of these ridiculous rules and prices, these clubs will suffer and struggle to remain open ..... they now want to be known as (b)restaurants but real restaurants don't have cover charges ..... and the food "quality" won't b worth the money you have to pay for it ..... hittinit is correct, the managers, as they always do, are fucking this up and that hurts the dancers becaue it's taking money from them, too .....

I always wondered about that. If they are a restaurant and charging to get in, is that even legal? I never heard of other restaurants charging to get in to eat food. Charging $15, $20, and $25 depending on the time of night is ridiculous.
The only way I see they can get away with it is that they are offering live entertainment (the dancers) to justify the door charge. Kind of like bars charge for special events like UFC fights. My opinion is those fights are usually once a week. If bars charged an entrance fee everyday of the week, they would lose customers.

UPDATE: They haven't really been pushy with me at all on food at P10 this past week! One important key advantage I've learned is to ORDER YOUR DRINKS AT THE BAR! And if a girl offers to get you another drink, leave her a nice tip. I swear to god they've been leaving me alone. Most of my club money has been going to grinding on some smoking hot asses. They have some new girls.

Yep, that's how they get away with it. If Papadeaux's charged a $15 cover they would be out of business.

I hooked up with a smoking hot Asian waitress after hours before the lock down. I guess she sobered up because she won’t text back.
Went back and haven’t seen her. The place was a rip off back then. No reason to go now.
