I'm from Buffalo and I'm familiar with the idiot 75 year old professional agitator. He told others that he was there to get arrested. The Democrat Black Mayor of Buffalo must be familiar to him too because he sided with the officers. The officers were charged and common wisdom is that they will NOT be convicted based in this video.
On a related note... since it's now okay to get thousands together as long as it's a protest demonstration.... I'm having a BBQ in my back yard for whoever wants to come. We are NOT calling it a BBQ though... We are calling it a protest and while we will be drincking and cooking and eating... we will also be arguing and having a good time. If you'd like to join us...please bring your own topic that you are mad about.
With any luck... the protest will turn into a parade....

So the Buffalo Mayor thinks it's okay for a police officer to push a 74-year-old to the sidewalk and walk off leaving the 74-year-old on the sidewalk bleeding even though the 74-year-old didn't touch the officer? (This "confrontation" with the officer began at least six feet away ... more like eight... from the officer.)

Yea, go figure. Some people think invading their space is punishable with threats and violence. Who knew?

So, are the police to ask for ID after they are assaulted before they react? The man is unusually tall and fit for his age. If this man approached slowly hunched over with a cane I'd have some compassion, but he didn't
From the vid it appears he definitely touched one officer. There is no reason to touch the officer or reach for the officer when you've been ordered out of the area. Is that battery or assault?
He was ordered out of the area. He engaged the police with objects in his hands. He reached towards both officers while keeping eye contact. Two, maybe three officers pushed him as a matter of his provocation. The push wouldn't have knocked a normal man down or resulted in injury.
Part of their strategy is getting cops fired by provoking them. Should the police not "bite" on every provocation? Of course. But IMO the officer used reasonable force to resolve the situation.
One officer said EMTs were on the scene. It appears that EMTs were called. After the man fell there was no other physical altercation between the police and him.
STFU douche-bag.
I used to wonder if you were stupid, a racist, or just a cock sucking bitch.
You, worthless poster, win the trifecta.
Obe, you are a close second. It figures.

The guy is in decent shape and tall for a 75 yo. And yes, he admits to protesting for various causes.
He approaches the cops that are clearing out an area. It's obvious "they are on the march." Supposedly curfew started minutes ago. The man has a helmet in one hand and a phone in the other. He stops the cops and touches two with the phone while talking to them.
He may have been pushed by up to three cops. The biggest push is by an officer with a baton. He's pushing the elderly man just like he's be trained - baton across chest.
The man falls backwards but doesn't loose his phone or his helmet. Right before he drops out of frame, it appears that he's going to land on his butt.
Next thing you know he's laying on his back and bleeding out the ear. Strange. From contact to bleeding took about 6 seconds.

MM...I don't think you can identify the Trumptards on this board as "douche-bags"
