Would You Believe . . . ?
I sent the following email to Skip the Games Support!
"Used to be a time when "Skip the Games" was a good site to visit to get something going!!
Now, SkiptheGames is 95% scam or fake ads! Are you ever going to get it cleaned up?"
Believe it or not I got a response! Honest!!! Not sure what to make of the response but here it is . . .
"Hi,
Right now we have huge problems with fake ads. The reason being is that scammers are texting providers and asking them to "verify" their logins on fake sites.
Despite us having a note at the very top of the site, (and having instructions in our welcome email not to do this), providers keep on doing this.
There are at least 5 groups of people doing this.
Instead of us just deleting these spam accounts, when we find them, we try to recover them for the original provider by changing the password, and then emailing the provider their new password. In some cases we've found that the provider has the same password on their email as their skipthegames account and the scammer has taken over their email account as well which makes it a further mess as then they keep logging on with the new password (though we'll inactivate the account in this case, it just takes more time).
It's a CS disaster and is taking us much more time to deal with this than usual. 5-10 minutes per account, vs less than 5 seconds before.
IF we just delete the posts and don't inform the original user, they keep on falling for the same messages and just get mad at us.
We're working on ways to better secure accounts, and to also make providers aware not to do this.
I know the site will die unless we fix this, we're working on it.
Regards,
Support Team

Skip the games. Get satisfaction.
Serving providers and their clients all over the world.
We have a strict no minors and no non-consensual activity policy.
Text messages sent asking you to verify your login on a website are scams, don’t fall for this."
Frankly, I'm thinking this is a "song and dance".

They do have a dialog stating exactly what they told you.
I agree you are fortunate they even responded. I would say that is a good sign they don't want to lose business and were genuine with their response.

They are idiots based off that email.
100% the email accounts get compromised, then the spam shows up, and then they just email the spammers new passwords to keep spamming.
They need to delete the accounts, the posts, and block the email addresses for that account.
Then implement a stricter form of verification (2-form auth, auth code via text message that's posted on the ad, etc...) for all new accounts that are created.
And when posts are made, they AGAIN have to be verified via an Authorization Code via text using the phone number they use IN THE POST!
And then, if THAT account was flagged and found to be fake, then that phone number gets blocked as well, further getting rid of "providers" using fake TextNow numbers and such.
If they did all of this, that site would be 100% legit posts.

YUP!
I’ve always thought the escort sites get paid by the spammers! After all who would respond to the stupid ads? Then again who would gargle household cleaners? Mostly men!
