My wifes stimulus check arrived today (direct deposit). We filed single since we married in early March.

Wonder how many people are going to return the money to the IRS since it's Trump giving it to them.

Yeah, gonna be real hard to figure that one out.

Of course I know it's our money. Taxation is theft, ultimately.

But my point however, is that the same people who curse the very zip code of wherever Trump is at the moment are the same people who are actively checking their bank accounts to see if Trump had given it back to them or not.

Wake up!

I doubt this is anyone’s tax money. They just don’t collect this much money. But at some point we’ll have to pay it back unless the United States files for bankruptcy.

Wonder how many people are going to return the money to the IRS since socialism.....

I'm guessing about the same number on both sides

I don’t get one, but if I did, I’d donate it to Amy MvGrath.

How many people are going to give that money to underprivileged minority groups since white privilege and all that...

I'm guessing none.

Nah-- white privilege is when black people get arrested for violating the "stay at home" order in Ohio for walking down the street.. but white people can protest at the statehouse and not get arrested.

He legally can't sign the check and didn't sign the checks. They put his name in the memo line.

Yeah, the entire "I was just walking down the street" usually is.. ya know, bullshit. That's like saying Mike Brown really just had his hands up. Always best to do your research on these arrests. This is coming from me, a non-white person who also violated the stay at home order and all I was told to do was be careful by an officer who pulled over while I was walking out at night, alone.

Protesting is literally a Constitutional right so.....

learn your rights.

I won't be getting one... I'm one of the guys that supports the free loaders. But since the govt. already took her taxes, I think she should keep it just because the govt. doesn't give money that it doesn't first take from someone else first. So as a net payer in the tax dept., I think keeping the money is perfectly logical.

And we know the net receivers of Govt. taxes aren't going to give it back.

As for paying for it... we're already 22 TRILLION dollars in debt.

$22,000,000,000,000. with a population of 330,000,000, we all owe 67K. Every man, woman, and child.

How long until you can pay?

Yeah, well the US govt. will pay off the debt when you are forthcoming with your 67K.

And if you're one of those asshats advocating for higher taxes... well guess what, nothing is stopping you from paying more. The IRS takes donations.

The US govt wouldn't pay off their debt even if we all paid in our 67K... lets not be daft. There will always be something.

I don't advocate for higher taxes. I advocate for fewer loopholes.

Only been 4 years of surplus in the federal budget in the last 50 years. All under Clinton. I don’t see any more any time soon.

It isn’t the taxes that bother me it’s the stupid way they spend the taxes. They should have to account for every dollar and no black ops BS either.
