Working from Hotels?
I figured sooner or later these spas are gonna have to start generating some income. Any ideas if they might start working out of hotels for the regular customers? I have my fingers crossed. All this stay at home stuff is making all kinds of knots in my back.

I would bet some Spas are open but their signs are not ON. I passed a spa on Galveston rd. yesterday that had their neon sign off but if you looked closely, they had a little paper OPEN sign. I don't know the name but it is the castle looking one.

I wonder what its going to do for the market? Are there going to be “back in business” sales? Or across the board upsale to make their money back.

I will guess at a price increase since I have seen some of the ones that are operating in stealth mode are trying that already.

I'm actually planning on doing the opposite of trying to get services at a lower price. Once I get back to seeing my regulars I plan to tip them a little extra since I know this is their only source of income.

I am not asking for discounts. I pay full price and tip for above the ordinary service. I don’t want my income shorted, so I don’t do that to the ladies either. I am seeing in ads and through texts that some places are trying to move toward Dallas pricing levels. If that is the way the market goes, so be it. I am old enough to remember when a benji would get you the world. Stuff happens, things change, prices rise.

I’m not asking for nor expecting discounts during this shutdown. The type of stiffing I’m looking to do is not of the financial variety. Besides, if the ladies are taking the risk to provide services (and they most certainly are if you look hard enough), they deserve to be compensated for “emergency” care. Once things go back to a more normal situation, I suspect prices will follow suit. They can’t exactly claim there has been an increase in raw material prices after all.

I'll be interested to see how many actually return to work or move on to other locations after this is said and done.

I would imagine most are just laying low. As shitty as the amps have been here the last few years....Houston is not a bad place for them to be. I would think most have ties here and will not be resettling.

There is a provider I have kept in touch with and met at different shops that told me she had a private space available. The private space then turned into a hotel room. I've seen her before so I said fine. I let her know when I would be there and when I arrived.
It was a proper hotel at that. I'm waiting for more info, sitting for a good five minutes waiting for a reply via text, and she then asks what color my vehicle was in order to have the room number. I then drove off telling her sorry, didn't feel comfortable.
hopefully not too much info. the process seemed too complicated and out of my element
