Cool As I Said "Something is Better'n Nothing"!

Even a dirty, smelly T Shirt wrapped around the mouth and nose is "better'n nothing"!

I also read this morning 500 NYPD cops have tested positive! I'd bet most didn't get that way from touching something or someone! Never know for sure, of course, just my 2¢!

They say it is going to get worse in 2 weeks from now. We will recover after that and come back this fall.

Well if it tolerates the heat like they say, it will just keep going. By fall those who recovered will be immune to it.

Without a vaccine, the only real options are lock down to mitigate spread (with very severe short term economic consequences) or acquiring herd immunity, which means probably 60% of the population would have to be exposed and develop antibodies (with a very large number of deaths).

Not a lot of good options there.

There are three strains running. So another strain, or folks it missed first round are now catching it. Just because a city is clean for a couple weeks means nothing when all it takes is a single carrier to bring it back.

Adeptus' comment on herd immunity is correct as this thing will be around forever, just as other nasty things are.
Back when I used to really travel I remember getting extra shots for stuff I only knew about from history writeups.

Anyway, the current objective is to slow it down so the med lab geeks have time to cook a vaccine. But, again, this thing will be around forever.

Fuck the Corona. This is definitely going to change the way that people approach life with regards to obesity, heart health, smoking, drinking, etc. The virus seems to be crushing obese/overweight and others with lung/liver/heart complications.

Who knows what the future holds.

There are also 8 known strains, and probably more

Hate to rub it in, health care workers wear masks, gloves, aprons, booties! Cops don’t!! Neither do people with respiratory problems. Have 11% of health care workers tested positive in NYC?
