I don't really figure I will receive one, the numbers I seen was for single under 75000.00 and married under 150000.00 would receive checks and that maybe wrong

The current numbers are you receive the full $1200 plus $500 per child for AGI under 75K if single and $2400 plus $500 per child for AGI under 150K if married, then a sliding scale down by $5 increments per $100 in AGI income over those numbers. Thus netting down to like 99K and 198K respectively to get nothing.

Like I said I doubt I will receive a check! but I don't live paycheck to paycheck like so many in this country do which is sad!
I learned a long time ago you can't depend on the government to take care of old #1

I think those numbers are correct but I heard that some of the first people who will be getting those checks are those that have already filing their tax returns like myself and the IRS can just look to see that my reported income was under $75,000 which would I guess qualifies me for a check but apparently they don't care that my income, a steady monthly income ( not counting what I have put in the bank over the life of my career ) of a pension check and a SS check. I should not be getting a check and if I do, I will find the right cause to give it to but the one thing I won't be doing is giving it back to a government that had no business giving it to me to begin with. All they had to do was ask if this person was working and the answer would be no, so no sense in sending this person a check. It's no wonder we are over 20 trillion and debt and climbing with these ignorant politicians we have running this country. I really feel sorry for the next generation that will be saddled with that debt.

I decided that if I get a check, I will double my tip to the food delivery people. I get a steak dinner delivered to the house every Sunday night. That started back when I was watching GOT and didn't want to eat out, well, anybody but Daenerys Targaryen

HF, here's a scenario relevant to me, and probably millions of others.
Receiving social security. Substitute teacher earning about $100 a day. Potential loss of maybe $5,000 if schools are in fact closed for the year.
Should that person, in your opinion, receive the $1200 virus check?
The same question can be asked for someone receiving a pension and getting laid off from a job they are working for extra income.

I agree HF. I retired last year and receive pension (red heads don't know what that is lol) and SS (an entitlement I paid for all my life that trump wants to cut along w Medicare I paid for too). We people don't need the bailout butt some of my buddies can use it
Nancy did a great job of taking care of all people and not just trump n his corporate donors
