This virus lives on soft materials like sheets and towels, walls, carpets not to mention human skin for hours. Much the same for metals like door handles and toilet handles. I'm staying home for awhile in general to see how many the 14 cases in H-town area multiply into.

Most deaths in China happened because hospitals were not ready to take so many patients at once. If you look at statistical data, the death rate in China outside Wuhan is less than 1%. Mostly older (70+) people. The bigger problem is overall panic, which creates unnecessary mess.

Mortality rate spikes significantly starting at age 50. Only gets worse from there as you go up.

Below 50 are not nearly as likely to die, but high chance of being carriers in the community, adding to the mortality of people 50+.

No. The average age ends up being 70's but most deaths are actually between 50 and 80-90's. Just averages out to 70 something, but the bulk of deaths includes 50's.

Secondly, almost all of the "Corona" deaths have been associated with travel abroad and on cruise ships, which have been notorious for the spread of various contagious illnesses among the passengers and crew members over the past 10-15 years.

It's another "political football" generating mass hysteria ... like the "run on toilet" paper and bottled water*!!!!!!

Recently, I have observed people with masks on standing in piss puddles at a urinal (in a "HIGH RISE" OFFICE BUILDING) taking a piss and then carefully washing their hands several times before walking back to their office with someone's body fluids soaked into their shoe bottoms. (They take it home at the end of the day to deposit on their floors!)

That's what the fuck is wrong with this country and this hysteria! NO common sense or critical thinking!
