I would have to question this remark about Lulu's: the fact is management are not from Thailand, and the menu isn't either. They sell food, it just isn't authentic.
For real Thai people and real Thai food, try Bangkok Pravilion at 97th and Medcalf in Overland Park, KS

Ethnic food is an adventure, as long as it is the real thing, and not an imitation.
The one thing about Thai food is the level of spice. I always request no spice, and have them bring the spice tray so I can add it myself.
A lot of the different Asian food can be
very hot. I love all of them except Korean BBQ: I have never been able to have them leave the sauce off, or even cut back. I recently had Korean Crab in California: it was swimming in hot sauce, but I managed OK.
