Default Tearin' up Texas....and looking for Must See/Do's please!!!

Well Hello TEXAS!!! I'm about to embark on one helluva road trip over the next month-ish. Starting from Beaumont to Katy, San Antonio, a lil Arizona, then El Paso Midland, Dallas....and maybe here and there in between lol!! I'm celebrating alot of things....great memories made over the summer, getting my very first brand new car, cherishing People, having FUN

In the spirit of keeping this momentum going, I'm heading to Arizona to visit a very dear family member. On the way, I'm looking for New Memories. If there's something you think is really cool, not necessarily tourist-y stuff, or there's maybe a special holiday event going on, please give me a heads up!! I love most things Outside, anything involving muscle cars and motorcycles, and of course good food!! I'm open to doing things Solo or pairing up and just having an adventure!

Looking forward to meeting new friends, and getting reacquainted with some old ones. Help me finish this year with a very satisfied smile!!!

If your stopping in Abilene let me know we can do drinks and I know the most authentic Mexican eatery in the town.

So yep I made it to San Angelo....and quickly finding out that my go to favorite food may not be so readily available here lol....I'm a seafood and sushi junkie . But!! I am in the middle of Beef Heaven, so where can I get a really good steak? I know y'all like ribeye down here, but if there's a good sirloin in town, I'm down!!

Also....been on Google looking for some cool places to explore.... anyone been to the Joshua Tree National Park? Just something about it is calling me and I'd be interested to hear any tips/experiences

Thanks!! Peace & Karma

The best steak in this order

Twin Mountains ( I prefer their Prime Rib on Friday night)
The Grill
The Peasant Village has a great blackened Ribeye ( call and see what’s on the menu for the night though- it changes all the time)
And believe it or not Dunbars.

I’m not a Sushi fan, but some friends of mine that are like Masa Sushi Bar and Ichiban.

For a unique dining experience you should go to Ms. Hatties on Concho Street Downtown.

Cool place. With a lot of history.

Be safe

Joshua Tree is on my bucket list,

But since your out in West Texas, if you haven’t been to Big Bend and the Chisos Mountain Lodge and drove the River Road west thru Terlingua and over to Presidio you should.

You won’t believe it’s in Texas.

Wear your long handles though, the mountain range has a lot more elevation than one realizes and it does get cold.

Although it is a lot prettier in the spring when all the Blue Bonnets are in full bloom.

Alpine, Marfa and Marathon are cool too.

The Gage Hotel is one of a kind in Marathon.

Then there is the McDonald Observatory in Fort Davis. The Star Party is worth going to.

Oh wow, you definitely speak my language lol! Thank you for the food recommendations, I plan to try one tmrw night!
Funny you mention Terlingua .... Last time I was in San Angelo, I left and went exactly there and totally unplugged for 10 days! I had the most amazing raft trip ... 21 miles on the Rio thru Santa Elena canyon....and saw Persaides meteor shower! Words can't to either justice!! Sadly there were no star parties but I heard an awful lot about them!!

Thanks again for the info...have a great nite!!
