Hi everyone! Checking out Jackson thinking of relocating! Starting my apartment hunting Tuesday. Any advice on the best areas to live and any activities close by would be great! Also great places to dine I love great food and drinks!! That info would also be greatly appreciated! please feel free to reach out!

I would say the Byram area, Pearl or Madison . Those are the areas I would search out . Welcome!!! Hope you decide to stay Quality is always welcome. If you can’t decide Meridian I believe would welcome you.

Biloxi Mississippi might be a better option. Coast living is exciting and it's plenty to do.

Welcome, Ms Lana!! I'm with some of the other guys about Ridgeland, Pearl, Brandon, or Byrum, moreso than Jackson. But, to each his own. Take care and STAY SAFE!

We would love to have you in the Jackson metro area. You mentioned apartment hunting so that cuts Madison off the list unless they have begun to allow apartment complexes to be built.

I'd target Brandon, Flowood, Pearl. Byram is good but may be a little far south of the metro area for you. Ridgeland used to be great for apartment living but has seen areal increase in crime the past few years.

The crime in Jackson (city limits) is comparable with New Orleans, Memphis, Baton Rouge, Shreveport. In other words, avoid Jackson like the plague.

If you like a great restaurant variety, check out the Dogwood area of Flowood. Plenty of good restaurants and shopping.

Madison is a great area, but you can't beat Coast Living. Biloxi or Ocean Springs would definitely welcome you. There are so many things to do on the coast.
