We removed the hooks and throw them back. Sometimes if the shark is too big and dangerous you cut the line. The hook will deteriorate and fall out. Most captains don't want them in their boat. They tend to urinate on the ice. Many species are protected and it's illegal to harvest them. You can't help it if you catch them. But I don't want to kill any of them.

The 1971 documentary Blue Water White Death
is probably still one of the best

Burt Reynolds was also in a 1969 film called Shark

Well yeah, that's the point. I love shark movies, even the Sharknado series

Jaws, Jaws2, JAWS 3D (I remember watching this one in the theater) and Jaws: The Revenge. Love it when they do a marathon!

Tried to watch 47 Meters Down Uncaged.

I thought the first one had dumb people in it.

The people (the 4 girls) in this one are even dumber.

By the way, one of the girls (Nicole) is played by Sylvester Stallone daughter, Sistine.

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1875985/

Only a celebrity will name their kid Sistine.

Stallone has 3 daughters.

I never knew that until today.

Their mother is Jennifer Flavin, whoever she is.

Also The Terminator has 2 daughters.

I also just learned that today after hearing the news one of his daughter got married to the guy from the Guardians of the Galaxy films.

I have seen all the Sharknado movies but only for Tara Reid for educational purposes, of course.

She and Shannon Elizabeth are the reasons American Pie (1999 - yup! that movie is 20 years old now believe it or not) was a box office smash.

Whatever happened to Shannon anyway?

A good or even decent shark movie is a box-office bet that's for sure. There is supposedly a very good one coming out in 2020 called Great White.

"The film follows the story of seaplane operators and lovers, Kaz Fellows (Katrina Bowden) and Charlie Brody (Aaron Jakubenko), along with their passengers, Joji Minase (Tim Kano), his wife Michelle (Kimie Tsukakoshi) and cook Benny (Te Kohe Tuhaka), who take a flight to the picturesque Hell’s Reef in Australia.
It isn’t long though before their idyllic trip turns into a living hell when they become abandoned miles from shore and in grave danger from what lurks just below the surface. Their only chance of making it out alive is to get to the beach, but with two Great White sharks hunting them, the odds are not in their favor. What ensues is a battle for survival of the most epic proportions against nature’s most lethal predators."

I'm looking forward to watch the movie you just described.

One of the Jaws sequel was moronic.

Jaws (4): The Revenge.

A shark holds a grudge against Chief Brody's (Roy Scheider character in the original 1975 Jaws) wife and follows her from New England to the Bahamas.

Apparently it was taking revenge for Roy Scheider's character killing 2 sharks in Jaws 1 and Jaws 2.

Who wrote that script and who at the studio approved it?

Yeah, that was a cartoonish plot. Fish don't hold grudges and track down their enemies across oceans to get even for killing their relatives. Whales maybe but I doubt they have a way of determining their enemies travel/vacation plans.
