Claire Chennault organized a similar unit, The Flying Tigers, to fight alongside the Chinese before the U.S. entered WWII. It was done with the tacit approval, a wink and an nod, of FDR.

"Tacit approval" and "a wink and a nod" is not an officially stated/funded/sanctioned US foreign policy....especially when one officially claims to be neutral....and demands to be treated as neutral by belligerent warring nations.

the U.S. officials (Wilson officials) at the time didn't approve of their own people getting involved in other peoples wars.
they didn't get a "wink wink nod".

Yeah, they did.
Ambassador Herrick was Wilson's ambassador to France between 1912 and 1914. When the first American Flyboys approached him about serving in the French air force. Herrick gave them the "official spiel" about America being neutral, and all, but then the ambassador purportedly hammered the table with his fist and added: "If I was young and in your shoes, by God I know mighty well what I would do!"
Those young men then went off and enlisted in the French service.

America did not officially enter the war Until 1917, you are lying and delusional when you try and bring up a story about a bunch of American peasant volunteers. You have been watching way too many movies (Fly Boys). The fact still remains, America, not Americans did not enter the war until 1917. After England did all of the heavy lifting.

From a DPST poster - "Stupidity is only curable with a bullet to the brain." One could only wish.
Typical of regimes such as National Socialists in Germany, and Communists in Russia - the answer to dissent for DPST regimes.

It is impossible to educate those who refuse to acknowledge pure facts even when they are right their in their face.
As the old saying goes..."You can't fix stupid"

The only one getting his ass whipped would be you. Yes, Americans were enlisting in the French Foreign Legion to fight against the Germans as early as WWI.

First you said 1915 then you contradicted yourself by saying 1914. You continue to make shit up because you can't handle facts.

Wooooooo you really got me. Your mentality is the perfect example as to why your side has gotten your asses beat the past two years. You have nothing else but childish logic. Keep it coming. Enjoy this next year while you can.
