Quite frankly, it isn't just offensive, it's down right trashy. The people I know and socialize with don't throw out derogatory slurs. Not because they are "politically correct" but merely because they are POLITE, successful, productive members of society who know that sort of talk only would make them seem low class. I don't get it.

Perhaps it is a form of organic protest among the members of the hated class of straight white men who wish to point out the biological dead end of gay activity and point out that ironically enough tolerance of gay men and allowing them to practice their gayness actually will reduce their numbers since they are not forced to marry and have children to hide their condition and no longer have a mechanism to pass on their genetic propensity.

The origin of homosexuality is unknown to medicine - but homosexuality has a very long history among the species.

There's a chart in this weeks Economist that strongly supports this. I wish I could link to it but you need to subscribe. Basically you have the World Trade Center in 2001 followed by other deadly jihadist terrorist attacks in western countries stretching into 2005. At the same time, there were no deadly right wing terrorist attacks (again in western countries) until 2006. Then you see a series of right wing attacks, peaking in 2012. Meanwhile, the jihadist attacks trailed off to a trickle, in terms of the number of deaths, until they pick back up again in 2015. After a series of very deadly jihadi attacks in 2015 to 2018, the right wing deaths pick up again in 2018 and 2019. This is strong evidence that jihadi attacks beget right wing attacks, less strong for the other way around.

Answer - OEB -I do not believe that homosexuality is a chosen lifestyle. It is something inborn, and not "fixable" with therapy as some have tried to do.

Medicine has not an answer as the "cause" -- a genetic trait passed down from "father to son" is unlikely.

I have a couple of simple questions:

Are drive by shootings terrorism?
Are drive by shootings intimidation?
Are drive by shootings mass murder?

From my perspective, they clearly are those things. The perpetrators of violence, terrorism, intimidation, and mass murder are dominated by the members of those communities, and the people who encourage such behavior are supported by the community.

Those communities need to stop blaming others for their choices, and look in the mirror a bit.

It is funny that these communities cry racism, but if someone who isn't of the dominant ethnicity strolls through them, it is highly unlikely that they will remain unscathed.

In my community, no one is who lives here is considered an outsider. Their ethnicity is utterly irrelevant. The suggestion that my community is racist, and the members of the Compton/Chicago communities are not, is absurd.
