It has been many years (years) since I was a consistent PGH formal "hobby" scene guy when I saw PGH ASPD and then TOS providers minimum once a week, and sometimes twice a week. That lasted for several years for me. I reflect pretty positively on my experiences in the hobby "proper" all those years....

All the providers I saw multiple times, my ATF's, performed like porn stars Every....Time I saw them BCD. And I saw many providers one (1) time and they performed great too. So what are guys now complaining about? That there are few if any great providers anymore.....???

With providers it's all about "reputation" for BCD Performance and general hobby "professionalism." Providers either have it or they don't. And providers here can confirm or not: hobbyists either "get it" or they don't, right....?

There are still providers with good to great reputations at work. It's all about whether or not you want to see them BCD. Read their reviews (though do TOS reviews even exist now with the new format?), read as much cross-board intel as you can, and then decide if you want to see them BCD. Not complicated.....

SA changed the game because, indeed, many of the Age 18-30 types just start there and not on a "conventional" hobby board like ASPD and Eccie and TOS. These girls "think" they are not providers, and the one's who bang-for-cash ARE providers, whether they think of themselves as that or not. So you have Clueless Newbies and (positively) many Pro Ho's on SA now. It's not any different than the hobby-proper ever was and is now. The difference is many new girls start on SA and not on Eccie or TOS now.....

"The more things change the more things stay the same." "It's the same as it ever was" -Talking Heads. Still plenty of options for the studious hobbyist. Go with SA girls, jump into the mix with all the Clueless Newbies as well as the Pro Ho's, or go for the "established" providers who are easy to research and contact and who have "established" reputations. Not complicated. And not any different than it's ever been.....

It’s not everyone, but when it comes out, it’s quite pointed. There are a handful of posters who clearly hate women.

A lot of guys from pthe latter group have a deep-seated resentment, and it shows.

Notice that even the ladies who just recently started participating here have gone a bit silent?
Maybe They'll still place updates and perhaps comment now and then but some people here have made them feel unwelcome.

It's a clear pattern.
Ladies join, they make an attempt to participate but the comments some guys make....
honestly it gets old.
For a place where guys are looking to connect with women?

I agree!! Honest reviews and so forth are a good thing. Belittling women seems stupid when the whole point is to be intimate with them.
I’ve said it before, the joes vs hoes mentality here makes no sense.

They are toxic. The owner at indys used his platform to abuse sex workers and he also hid the abuse (alerts) for the right price.

Here? Not a whole lot better. Abuse is allowed to be hidden here too.

Anyone want the full alert as to how my car got fucked up to the point I had no choice but to trade it, at a several thousand dollar loss? I mean if I post the real alert, I could get banned. :HugeEyeRoll: Hit me up on Twitter if ya want the stories.

LOL. Of course some girls don't like review boards, They don't like being called out for a bad performance or inaccurate pics or whatever in a review.

A good provider should never be afraid of reviews and review boards. Good reviews help her build business. Just look at what happens when someone here puts up a good review on someone new - their phone blows up.

I bet the providers calling review boards toxic are the same ones bashing hobbyists on twitter.

Reviews are essential for us to make a decision. Without them we may as well just be throwing our money away. I never move forward on an appointment without first seeing reviews, pics or significant backchannel guy's intel.

The reviews here mean more to hobbyists than Indys could ever dream of. A good review here will blow up a provider's phone/inbox. Just look at the number of reviews we get in this forum every day/every week. Guys are comfortable getting the intel out there because they don't have to worry about the unnecessary backlash and venom that followed a bad review on Indys. Heck, I never posted one single review on Indys because I saw right through the joke of the system early on. Why even bother. Here, I've posted a ton of reviews because of that difference. Out of my many reviews I've only given a thumbs-down to a few providers....and those thumbs-down were probably due to my lack of intel moving forward on some bp girl. Live and learn...sometimes you toftt and it turns out shitty.

Providers that are worried about reviews here are likely trying to cover something up that will get out, in my opinion.

You cannot lump Eccie in with TOS, I was a mod hear for a short time, and came here after the demise of ASPD, where I was also a mod.

ASPD, which was founded by a female ex provider to foster a site where Men ran the men's side and vice versa, with the intent of providing an online meeting place to benefit both parties.

TOS was founded by a guy who I know forced providers to give freebies, as dual board providers told me that very early on, fuck for a premium listing, or just to get on at all.

When I modded,I was offered discounts, offers to write reviews for less $$$, and once a new provider offered to meet me for free for positive referrals.

TO BE CLEAR, I never took the offers, or used the mod position for personal benefit, and it pissed a few girls off who thought we could be bribed.

Don't assume all sites run by men, automatically makes us scumbags.

Further, having a board personality, doesn't always cross over into real life, Stevepar and I had legendary disagreements on the site, but we communicated off site many times, earned each other's respect eventually, and I broke the news of his death, and truly felt bad for him, even though we were completely opposite politically on the board.

Reviews on a formal review system are ... useful to have a report...an entry showing existence and perhaps even the thumbs up and thumbs down, though that is less reliable. The horse poo in between is supposed to be entertainment. Have to read between the lines.

Im likely in the minority as I liked both Devo and Stevepar. I am sorry and am just now hearing about it. We shared quite a bit of info. Anyway, I never liked hearing stories about TOS and I believe they are true. But lets be clear, at the time, there were a dozen platforms that would provide equal or better volume. Being there has always been a choice. We all know many that did not comply, advertised in multiple places, and did well.
