Going on BANCATION for 30 days--BOO!

Hi all, Ms. Candice is going on BANCATION for 30 days, but at least I have the opportunity to explain myself so there's not speculation and false rumors about why.

Lubeman, my troll, put a very rude comment in private tags on my latest ER. Here's a link to it:

Since women cannot read what's in the Private Tags, a male told me what was said, recommending that I ask a mod to intervene, particularly since the mod had already warned Lubeman to stop harassing people. Which is what I did.

What happened instead is that I got banned for having knowledge of the content of Lubeman's post in Private Tags. (BTW, the gent is a long-time, upstanding member here who offered to share the ban time with me, and I declined the offer. But he was a sweetheart to offer! He thinks this stinks!)

Fair enough. I didn't play by the rules and I got the ban.

But all of you men CAN play by the rules, and RTM Lubeman's private comment. If you believe that his comment violates any of the following ECCIE Rules, then please go to the post and RTM it.

#1 - Avoid cases of unprovoked rudeness to others. No place for it here. Yes, with the dynamic nature of the threads and topics, tempers will flare and things will become heated from time to time. You may often encounter individuals who become passionate or emotional when expressing one's opinion or point of view. That's all understood and perfectly acceptable within reason…….but, start slamming or bashing another member and be met with consequences.

#3 - Disrespect to others, IN GENERAL, will be considered an item of low tolerance, especially when posting in our coed forums. Follow the Golden Rule and treat others as you wish to be treated yourself. This applies to fellow members as well as staff. We do not require that you have respect for us, but we do require that you treat us respectfully in the public forums. If you feel the need to vent, gripe, or blow off some steam regarding a staff member's action or decision, we ask that you keep it private. Email, RTM, or the PM system would be the appropriate avenue to take in such cases. In cases where you would like to request additional clarity about a staff decision, you are free to pursue an answer in either a public forum or private means of communication. If handled publicly, post your inquiry in a respectful manner.

#4 - Blatant insults or hostility toward another member will be met with staff intervention. This applies to using our coed forums for name calling, personal attacks, or vulgar slang terms to describe fellow members. If you have legitimate concerns about another member here, share them tactfully in the appropriate private forums or with staff.

#16 - "Cyber Stalking" is a term that refers to the act of following another member around online. This may include persistent PMing of the other party, repeated ISOs about the other party, or excessive bumping of reviews or posting in threads about the other individual, whether it be positive or negative information posted. In any of these cases, whether staff deems that the behavior has crossed the line into cyber-stalking, or the "stalked" party complains to staff about the alleged behavior, staff will take the necessary steps to make it stop. Please avoid becoming involved in this type of conduct.

#17 - Multiple handles are not permitted, unless in certain circumstances are expressly approved by staff in advance on a case-by-case basis. Action will be taken in cases where staff finds multiple handles are being used for deceptive reasons, to carry out an agenda (promotion or trashing of another), or to return to the board following a previous suspension or ban. (NOTE: MEXMEX50, LUBEMAN AND LIL PP are all handles used by this member, with the knowledge of most members here.)

Perhaps if enough MEN RTM his post, the mods will ban HIM instead of women like me who are being harassed by him. Comments like his, left unchecked, could negatively impact a companion's business. If everyone didn't already know what a joke this guy is. But the joke is that now I'm banned for 30 days for asking for help, and he's still here.

I'll be in town until February 18, then gone until March 13.

Moderators, seriously, I appreciate all you do and the hard work you put in. I broke the rules, I'm taking the hammer and I hope when I return, MexMex50/Lubeman/LIL PP has been dealt with as well.

It is unlikely that any evidence exists to indicate that Candice has another account, so I don't see the point in punishing someone who likely did not solicit this inappropriate information. In my view, the person telling tales out of school should be the one getting the hammer here. And speaking of tools...

Well stated Candice. I think everyone, including the mods, know he is a multi handle troll. I think they owe you an explanation. Rules are rules.

I think it's a crock that Candice got harmed in this altercation when clearly the person who caused the problem is the one who gave her the intel. It's not her fault, or any other lady's, who receives information.

The intent of the rule, I think, is to dissuade male members from using information for leverage with the ladies and I think it's also to encourage men to be honest without fear of retribution. Lubeman's honest opinion lacked taste, and if anyone is offended, they should RTM. But it's a slippery slope to issue a ban and give the banned person a sounding board to make their argument. When / how will others getting a ban to do the same (or be denied the opportunity)?

The truth is I asked a question in private and a wk ran and told Candice what was asked. He thought he was doing her a favor and look what happened. She bombarded me with messages not the other way around. She's got a lot of you fooled only if you knew.

Agree....Seductrix has a habit of sticking her nose into places where it doesn't belong and she thinks she is the queen of this forum....she has a HUGE chip on her shoulder and practically begs for someone to knock it off then acts really butt hurt when it comes back at her the wrong way. No, MexMex... you weren't "asking a question" in private... you know damn well what you were doing... you were stirring shit in private... While I agree that whoever divulged the private post is the one most culpable, your trolling and shit-stirring and multiple handles needs to come to a quick end.

And, no, MexMex... I was not the one who revealed the private info, although I did today submit an RTM. Let's hope the mods assess the proper and equal infractions on all parties involved...

That's bullshit, straight up and down. It sounds like someone knew telling you was the way to get you in trouble since it had no affect on the person who told you. It was divulged to you by someone who has the obligation to keep it private and that is how the rules all of a sudden only apply to us females.

Accurate on all counts, though I don't presume to know the intentions of leaker. I doubt there was a malicious plot afoot.



Something similar happened to me where a subordinate employee was shittalking me to another subordinate, who promptly came and told me. I just told #2 that the information does me no good, and I don't want to hear it anymore.
