I think TSA is the primary agency that ordinary (i.e. outside of DC) Americans interact with. I would imagine the big airlines are working on contingency plans to provide airport security if the TSA has a prolonged sickout. But if airports were shut down, that would probably bring Trump and Pelosi to the table.

Until then, I think most Americans are unaffected and, in the Heartland, are cheering Trump on.
