It used to be you could pick up some decent O Lineman in the second round. Rebuilding a line is a stretch however.
The bigger problem is the Offensive Coordinator and Deshaun Watson. I don't see Watson as being a top 6 NFL quarterback that can get you to a Superbowl. Building a team specifically around his skill set even with a better defense won't get you far. Yes, a better O-line will keep him from being hit and open up the running game but he's going on the injured reserve again running QB options and holding onto the ball waaaaay to long. This is going to be like Kareem Jackson all over again - spend a number 1 draft pick on a guy that's going to progress into being a mediocre player 7 years from now.

You do realize that the Offensive Coordinator is Bill O'Brien, the head coach?

It appears you are kind of correct. There is no official "Offensive Coordinator." Many coaches are the playcallers. The closest I can find is Will Lawling who is offense assistant/offense line coach.
As many coaches call the plays, I expect BoB is no different. He either needs to replace Lawling or get a real offensive coordinator. BoB can still call plays - the plays the OCoord gives him.

It should be noted that the biggest issue with the Colts game was that the Colts were doing the same thing they did in the last game and the Texans looked totally unprepared for it. That is not a good sign.

This nailed it.
This performance may (I stress may) have been understandable if it was preseason or the first game of the season but for the last one. The coaches did not appear to have any game plan specific to the Colts. They just slapped the players on their butts and told them go out there and play football. And that worked so well for the first half that they did the same for the second half.
Compare that to Clemson's defensive game plan, Monday. Someone watched a lot of tape and then came up a plan to counter that the players executed to perfection. Either that or somehow they got a hold of Alabama's playbook.

Been watching KC's QB Mahomes. He's just incredible. Plays at NFL speed. Very accurate. Read Defenses. Never holds onto the ball. Always look confident-not cocky-like a 8 year veteran. He hits WR and TE in stride. Cross body throws nothing to him.
In other words, everything Watson isn't.

Well once Mahomes was taken in the draft, the Texans started making moves toward Watson. So Mahomes was who they wanted.
I think Mahomes was better served by sitting for a year and watching the offense from the sidelines. His ass would have been thrown on the field here in Houston.

Don't think this team has the nucleus to get a Championship
I think only Hopkins and JJ are untouchable. Clowney and Watson maybe depending on how much money they ask for. Watson looks good on the stat page but not on the field. We played a bunch of sorry teams this year. We can't depend on Indy and Tennessee and Jacksonville to be bad forever. Secondary and OLine need near total overhauls.
Prove me wrong.

Texans sign free agent TE Darren Fells.
How many draft picks have they wasted on TE's?

A better option would have been "you know who" but that would never happen.

Maybe, but it's not worth the controversy when there are other decent backups.

Definitely but they are similar players. I thought Weeden had a good enough arm to stay around. He can sling it!
