Is being a BBW considered a negative thing?
Hi guys, I read lots of Encounter Reports where you're describing a curvy or voluptuous lady, and you will specifically note "NOT A BBW."
Could somebody please shed some light for me on why some of you feel this additional disclaimer is required? The only conclusion I can draw is that being a BBW is not a good thing overall in the ECCIE community.
Can you just describe a lady as she is? I mean, you don't say, "She had blue eyes, NOT brown eyes." Why add an additional descriptor of something she's NOT?
Signed, a curious BBW who's trying not to get a complex up in here...

Unfortunately, I believe the definition of BBW sometimes gets blurred depending on the author. The reality is that BBW is ever bit a subjective term based on personal preference. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Again, unfortunately, a subjective perspective may find its way into defining what BBW is or is not. Your online persona strikes me as someone who is comfortable and confident in your own skin. I think confidence is a sexy attribute. I would just chalk it up to “ different strokes for different folks.”

I now see the Encounter you are referencing. I agree that it appears to have a negative connotation. The rest of my commentary above is still applicable. Apparently the author does not appreciate a specific body style. However, his description could have been structured differently.

It really depends on the reviewer. Some people classify me as a BBW but most say I'm not a BBW. It's like the term for somewhere in between I think.
Regardless girls with extra are gorgeous.

I think its a matter of degrees. On one end of the spectrum you have spinners, on the other BBW. In between you have ladies that are heavier than a spinner, but not as large as some others. Other euphemisms include such body styles as athletic, average, curvy, etc. So someone who is curvy is probably heavier than a spinner, but the disclaimer "Not a BBW" would imply not as big as what that individual would call a BBW. Unfortunately, its all subjective. We don't have BMI numbers to classify each body style.
Regarding negative connotation to BBW: One thing that I have learned in this community is that guys are attracted to all sorts and types. What I don't like, someone else craves and vice versa. So I would imagine BBW is a negative for those who like slimmer women, and a positive for those liking larger women. Butts are another great example of how varied tastes are. Some like the slim, toned athletic butt. For others, the bigger the better.

I have had the pleasure of visiting with Kati on more than one occasion & would never put her in the BBW category , don't think Candice is either!
Many of us men have a little lead in our ass so we shouldn't be placing labels on our lady friends in a negative connotation

There are so many different body types and different individual tastes that some sort of label is necessary to identify body types. This has nothing to do with the client's body type so it really doesn't matter how much weight the client is carrying around. Unfortunately, what one considers a BBW may not be what another considers a BBW. To add to the issue, so many bio pages show outdated pics, so some assessment is necessary. To me some of the best information that can be included in a review is how accurate the pics are; is she older/different than what the bio pages shows.
When assessing a potential appointment, we gather positive and negative info as far as menu, physical attributes, price, etc. A negative attribute just means that it's not that person's cup of tea. CBJ could be a negative, as could price point, TCB, body style etc. A negative isn't necessarily a derogatory statement. Personally, I think too much is being read into the statement "NOT a BBW". Just because the client may be old and fat doesn't mean he can't look for young and thin (or anything else for that matter).

To some people it is a negative word to others a positive. To some it's a dividing line term. Chubby, thick, etc is good, BBW is fetish.
The biggest problem is every bodies definition of the term is different. Some people when they say "not a BBW" is trying to say to some that she is in the thick realm, not BBW. Trying to explain to those who think BBW is fetish.
Sad truth is it is a negative term to a lot, not only in this community but society as a whole.

Not a negative for me. It depends on my mood. Kind of like food. Sometimes I like Thai and sometimes I like Pizza. Some times I like a big ol' ass that wraps around every time you push from behind will all that shakin goin on ( as Jerry Lee Lewis would say ) and sometimes I like the accessibility of a spinner.
Personality, service and skills are more important anyway.
I recently had a short interchange with someone about wether voluptuous was the same as a BBW. I say not. The ratio between waist line and bust/booty is a factor for me.

My ECCIE Reviews

Like others have said, it's in the eye of the beholder. Some think BBW is a fetish, some use the term to describe any woman with a BMI of maybe 30+, some use the term and consider the phenomenon to be positive, and others have negative associations for it.
What I want to know is why all the ladies talk about BBC, and not BWC. We apparently have plenty of BWC on eccie.

Not me, sir. The biggest C I personally ever encountered was on a white guy mid 50s, 5'9", maybe 150 pounds. He was probably 10" but as big around as a can of malt liquor. I could not get ANYTHING around it except both hands! He said he had that problem with every companion. He looked like a porn star flaccid. He said his nickname in high school was Horse. I did not dispute it.

Personnally I think there's an upper limit cut off, and a general rule of boobs must be bigger than belly. With that said, I've not once had a disappointing date with a BBW.

Everyone is very cool in their responses
Ms. Candice is being a delicate flower today. Sorry.
I need to learn that when I see the words, "NOT A BBW," they are only a descriptor, and not code for, "I dodged a bullet and didn't get an obese chick!" OR...they may be making a negative reference, and don't take it personally.
I don't see being a BBW as a negative thing, and I kiss my mirror stupid!! I am a body positive person to myself and others.
But when you see the same comment in a lot of Encounter Reports over a few months, you start to wonder if maybe you're wrong.
Thanks for all the great responses, good humans.
