Any Advice?
I almost went down to TJ my last trip to San Diego, but I pussed out. I went down there all the time in the 90’s when I was in the Marines, but I was able to just pick girls up back then. For a middle aged white guy that doesn’t speak any Spanish is it safe?

Completely. I went 4 days in a row with no problems. Going back soon.
Park by border, take pedestrian crossing, walk 3 min to cabs, take a $5 cab to HK. The drivers understand “HK; cinco”.
Don’t walk around much and don’t pick up drugs on street and you’ll be fine. Most in HK spoke enough English so there’s no issue. Take their shuttle back to border and walk across.
Dejavu is closer to border if you want to go there.

Ok...I agree with Rod to a degree. For a middle aged white guy, Adalitas will be better for you. To me, all the girls in Hong Kong are too young and it’s VERY loud in there. The places are only a couple of doors apart anyways. Definitely do not try and buy drugs down there. The police are looking for that and will take you to an ATM if you are lucky. If you’re unlucky, they will empty your wallet and take you to jail. Both Adalitas and Hong Kong are in a block. Don’t venture out of that block on foot. If you want to buy Cuban cigars or liquor to take back across the border, take the cab. I have never taken the shuttle so cannot comment on that but a $5 cab ride let’s you go on your own schedule. Hope this helps but YES, it’s safe as long as you behave.

I haven’t tried Adalitas yet so will have to try it. HK is loud but full of beautiful women to choose from.
Also do not walk out on streets with a drink. Cops will stop you for that too. All the stuff going on and they don’t like you walking with beer????!!!
If you want low key, try Dejavu. Closest to border and safe area. More like a traditional US strip club but still with all the benefits. The room fee is more than HK though.
HK has a nice shaving cream show though....

Thanks for the intel fellas. I wasn’t planning on buying drugs, but I might pick up some viagra at one of the pharmacies. Are there some in the area?

There are plenty of farmacias around. One is right across the street from the pedwest cab stand as you get into Mexico. There are several on ave revolution that are a short walk away from Zona Norte. If you want to pay a little extra, the bathroom attendant in HK has name brand viagra and cialis.

On my last trip I discovered maxifort zimax...it's a ed pill and holy shit its definitely a game changer. I'm in my mid 30s so I dont need it but I wanted to do some damage in TJ. I stopped @ one of the farmacias before I crossed back to the US and bought some to bring home.
But yes TJ is safe as long as you dont act crazy and look for trouble, I probably won't return till all the migrant issues are dissolved.
