The article clearly states that on Trump's watch the industry has enjoyed more job growth than job losses, and no amount of disingenuous hair-splitting is going to change that elemental fact.

IB 10,000 Americans are losing their jobs because GM said low gas prices have hurt their sales. They are closing the factories. Is this untrue?

What's "untrue" is your interpretation of what's written in the article. It says half of those jobs you're crying about and blaming Trump for aren't American jobs, and it further says that lower gas prices have contributed to job GROWTH in other sectors of the same industry that you're crying about.

It would be you who untruthfully misrepresented what the article said, and, btw, the newspaper inserts show that CVS still sells Kleenex.

the statement that GM closing plants due to low oil prices is stupid and disingenuous. that notion is ridiculous.
You have to be trolling to make that statement.
If a manufacturing plant closes, its because they are not selling cars or trucks consumers want, certainly not over oil prices.
General Motors announced Monday that it planned to idle five factories in North America and cut roughly 14,000 jobs in a bid to trim costs. It was a jarring reflection of the auto industry’s adjustment to changing consumer tastes and sluggish sales.

Fewer jobs making small cars, more jobs making big cars, more automation, more foreign plants making cars here. Low gas prices make big cars cheaper to own, and eventually, increases the demand for gasoline, which increases the price of fuel, making small cars popular again.
Don't they teach economics at Cougar High?

Actually vehicle car sales are down but at least you admit that people are losing their jobs because of low oil prices

I drove a 2018 Denali 4 door long wheel base pickup, that even has selective 4 wheel drive. It has a 6.2 liter 420 HP engine.
The technology in this vehicle is astounding. It will get 22 mpg on the Hyway, go just about anywhere, and haul just about anything. Plus it has all of the luxury one would want.

Yes I had a Denali AWD , put over 100k miles on that baby. Have bought the Dodge Limited with the 5.7 Hemi since.
I've never thanked Donald Trump for low oil prices though.

This is the first post of yours I have ever "liked". You made a good choice, and the low oil prices made possible by President Trump are saving you money.

they aren't selling because people don't need small cars. they can afford gas because its cheap. thanks goes to Donald Putin and Saudi according to IB. When you have to have the credit you have to take the blame
