Hi dear... Don't let this guy rain on your parade! Seriously. As in the real world, there are people out there who for whatever reason aren't nice and choose to conduct themselves in a manner that is rude and disrespectful. The best thing to do is to try and minimize the risks (and irritation) of spending time with those individuals. Definitely, your first order of business should be to get yourself verified provider status on ECCIE. This will be helpful and you will have access to provider only areas of the site. Next, if you haven't already been verified on P411, do it! Both of these are very helpful, not only as marketing tools, but screening tools (not to say that either is foolproof, however.) I am not sure about how you screened this gentleman but definitely do your research. I believe Benjamin Franklin said, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. " How true!!!! I can't tell you how many times I have declined a meeting with someone because something didn't feel right or I didn't like the manner in which he conducted himself be it in communication with me or his persona on this board. Ask for references and check them. Read his reviews (if he has any) and try to gather what info you can about what activites he might enjoy and how he physically describes the provider. Although we aren't privy to the ROS part of the review, many times I am able to infer a a good deal by checking this out. Also, read what he posts on other threads. Again, while not foolproof, it never hurts to take the time to check someone out beforehand. There are also other resources out there is well to try and avoid situations like this in the future (verifyhim.com is a good one).
Sorry to ramble on, but I am very sorry you had to deal with this, especially starting out. You are a very pretty lady and I am sure you will do well. I have honestly met some of the kindest people through this business. Good luck out there and if I can be of assistance in any way, let me know. Take care.
