Former Arizona U.S. Sen. Jon Kyl to replace John McCain

Kyl's appointment will make it possible for him to vote for ... [Kavanaugh's confirmation].

By state law the senator will have to be a member of the same party as the departing one, in this case the GOP.

Did you read your own link? Kavanaugh based his views partly on his own experience working for Ken Starr in the 1990s. He saw first-hand how unchecked lawsuits and over-reaching investigations can distract a sitting President. He concluded that isn't good for America. Didn't you just say you want someone who's good for America?

Plus he wrote this in the Minnesota Law Review back in 2009, years before Trumpy ran for President.
