Noob screening
What are y'all's thoughts on best ways to get "screened" as a newbie? I am a long time stalker of this site. I come on here maybe once a month or so and for the most part I end up just browsing the forums and fantasizing about participating in the hobby, but then I just end up going to a strip club, or "playing solitaire"... lol.
I'm sure I'm not the only guy on here who does the same. I'm in my late 20s, make about 140k so it's not like I can't afford it... I just don't know how to get started. Years ago I considered p411 (which is no longer an option), and I do have enough money to be able to afford it, but I know I would never see enough providers to justify the cost of using p411. To me it would be like buying a $400 PS4 just to play one game for 90 minutes and then throwing it away. Granted, if I found a provider I was really comfortable with, I would probably see them multiple times, but being a newbie, I can't say for sure that I would ever play with more than 5 "games" per year.
Anyway, my thinking is that if I don't have references and I can't use p411 because they're not accepting new accounts, I would be willing to provide some personal information to a provider that has reviews/references, but only if she's "the right girl". However, I rarely make any contact attempts because when I find the "right girl", her posts say "screening required, no exceptions".
Have any of y'all tried something like doing a pre-screen meeting with a provider? As in we meet just to verify that I'm not a cop/axe murder? I've always thought that would be a good idea, but I would be afraid the girl would turn around and say something like "you still owe me $XXX for my time" - even though no actual services are provided. Because I'm new, I feel like I'd somehow get taken advantage of.

In the current climate. Meet ups are not reassurance that you or who your seeing is safe.
..my suggestion to you would be to try a agency first to get the feel of it and to get more comfortable until you decide to branch out on your own. Which also is a great way to gain a reference.
Also Google is your friend.
Research. Also research why we screen.

If the OP has been lurking it would seem feasible that he has seen hundreds of threads on this subject. Do some reading and quit choking your chicken.

Many states escorting (aka meeting for coffee) requires a license which is nearly impossible to obtain. It is illegal to escort in most states. Cops will arrest and ask questions later. Some states (such as PA) arrests are not expungable...so you're fucked either way...for the rest of your life.
Good luck.
Also note, "I am a long time stalker of this site." throws up all sorts of red flags for me. Also the insinuation that you will see a provider multiple times is a red flag...and a manipulation tactic used by many to haggle a cheaper price.

my intention with this post is to help identify ways to get screened besides p411, which as I stated, is no longer accepting new members. There are literally 1000s of posts on here, please excuse me if I got distracted by the more interesting ones and missed something relevant

Searching for keywords like "screen" or "how to get screened" only yields results in provider posts with stuff like "screening required", etc. Nothing on how to accomplish that.

So you're saying meeting for coffee counts as escorting, even if my intention is really just to have coffee and that's it? (not trying to be condescending here, this is a serious question because I've read that just smiling at an escort can count as soliciting - which I can't believe because it's the stupidest thing I've ever heard...)

Just curious, but why would it be a red flag? I can see how it can be used as a sales tactic, but it's kind of like getting a haircut - why would you go to a new stylist/barber every time when you already have one you trust. When I get a haircut, I'm willing to pay more to my stylist who knows how I like it and I know is not going to fk it up.... Maybe not a perfect analogy, but still.

You really need to find another hobby. I hear trains are popular.

Despite your stalking of the site for years, your perception of what’s acceptable in the hobby seems to be a little warped.
First, meeting for coffee establishes absolutely nothing… Except that you like coffee. And second, it’s wrong to ask a provider to meet you off the clock. Naturally, she would expect compensation for her time, regardless of what activity is taking place. Add to that your attitude that you think her expectation would be “taking advantage of you?”
This isn’t match.com, sweetie.

J5, are you a lawyer? You seem to enjoy arguing your case rather than really trying to get verified. If you were truly interested in the hobby you’d know how to get started by now.

I'd suggest consulting a lawyer. I am not a lawyer. However I did hire one or two
If you pay for an "escort" to meet you at coffee...yep, illegal in many areas without a license.
Besides...did y'all not get the memo...cops arrest first and ask questions later. People like to talk...they like to explain themselves...gets em in trouble every single time. If that doesn't work...they threaten to take your kids, tell your SO, and send your boss a front row seat to the show. Cops don't play by the rules.
I consulted a legal consultant, then a lawyer, and then another lawyer who works in porn industry law...I think I'll choose to believe them over a monger who thinks it's ok to call someone sweetie in a condescending manner. But that's just me.

Do some research on ladies local to you. Have they been on ECCIE for awhile? Do they post? Do other local hobbyists converse with them via post? Do they have reviews? Once you get a sense that they are legit, contact one. But first, be ready to be screened. You do have to take a little leap of faith and give up a little info that may make you a little uncomfortable. Put yourself in their shoes- they are taking a risk as well. If you are not comfortable taking a little risk, you may need to stick with “solitaire”. My two cents.......
