Venezuela Surpasses Weimar As Hyperinflation Expected To Hit 1,000,000% By Year End
The revised forecast means that as of right now, Venezuela's hyperinflation has officially surpassed the Weimar Republic's, where the highest recorded monthly inflation was a timid 29,500% (resulting in prices doubling ever 3.7 days).

haven't seen a country with an inflation problem this bad since Italy's Lira.
I remember a coworker telling me that in the 1970's, he was doing business with an Italian guy and that he was going to bring 1 million lira to him the next day. It was only worth $40 or something like that.

I read something the other day that said there have been only about 70 odd cases of true hyperinflation during the history of the world. It should be extremely uncommon. Governments know what they need to do, stop printing money. Allow interest rates to rise above the inflation rate. It takes an incredible level of stupidity and focus on the short term to let hyperinflation go on year after year, like it is in Venezuela now, and was in Zimbabwe and before then Argentina and Brazil.
I had a sugar baby in Argentina before the word sugar baby was ever used. She owned an ice cream stand. She had to spend the money from her customers the same day to buy sugar, cream, etc., or the money would lose its value. Crazy.

Hilarious! Honestly. Socialists are condemned to repeat the same mistakes they've been making for 200 years.

I have a Zimbabwe $100 million bill hanging over my desk at work. It was worth 47 cents when I bought it.

IMO that is because,
A) since they don't ever take responsibility for when their ideas go pear shaped, they DON'T ever thing "we have to learn from our mistakes"
and B) how CAN they learn, when their indoctrination tells them what they are doing is right and good!

On second thought, why are we criticizing. Look at the cost of a high priced escort in Venezuela, using the current forex rate of 3.5 million bolivares per dollar:

19 years old, 1 hour for $4.30
http://www.sexycaracas.com/sexyccs/p...3&ente=&nlogo=
28 years old, 90 minutes cost $6.30
http://www.sexycaracas.com/sexyccs/p...1&ente=&nlogo=
33 years old, 1 hour costs $7.15
http://www.sexycaracas.com/sexyccs/p...5&ente=&nlogo=
21 years old, 1 hour costs $8.57
http://www.sexycaracas.com/sexyccs/p...7&ente=&nlogo=
23 years old, 1 hour for $8.57
This is provided for entertainment purposes only. Presumably no one reading this web site is foolish enough to go shopping for hookers in Venezuela. It's a dangerous place right now.

Hahahaha, In Italy he would be a millionaire, but here at home he would still be a poor bastard. It always makes me wonder. to the people who think Socialism is such a good thing, then why do people who live in Socialists countries come to America?
