IMO Death row should be ONE APPEAL, and a MAX of 5 years from time of conviction till sentence is carried out..

Injecting air into a vein or artery although can cause death it won't happen as quickly as you may think and has the potential to produce pain and discomfort before a person actually dies. So the courts and ethics boards would consider that cruel and unusual punishment.

With the Guillotin, it was about as quick as you can get. I was watching a program on the History Channel about the Guillotin, and in Nazi Germany, which beheaded more people than any modern society, their professional executioner could lop off a head every two minutes.

As to the humanity involved, who knows. If the object is to kill a person as quickly as possible, beheading by Guillotine has to be by far the most efficient.

As to whether the severed head is still "alive" for a few seconds after, able to contimplate it's predicament, who knows.

Why don't we kill them all? Because we have evolved as a society. Christians, you know the main stream TrumPutin voter, should be opposed to the death penalty according to Christian teachings. Whats funny is most are the biggest proponents of the death penalty. Its such a paradox. if you're gonna execute someone just overdose them with barbituates or similar sleep drugs instead of using 3 different drugs.

I mean.. many vets uses only one drug (don't know what they use) to put down sick animals and we use 3 drugs to put down a human, how stupid is that.
