Armchair lawyers, here's a question,

Since it appears that McCabe actually investigated Sessions for lack of Candor last year, whether or not Sessions was aware or not, or even if he was aware and he honestly didn't take that into consideration when he made the decision to fire McCabe, what legal mess if any could that cause? Would it not at least give McCabe fuel to challenge his dismissal? Do FBI agents have the ability like police to challenge their firing if they believe it was unjustified?
