WTF may have stumbled onto something. Many people believe that the deep state is basically US intelligence services. Okay, Trump crossed them by winning and by calling them out by name. Remember Schumer said that the intelligence people have a way of getting even. Now WTF talks about GW Bush. What happened in 2000? Bush was supposed to lose to Al Gore (who has gone batshit crazy) but he didn't. The intelligence services were miffed. Two years later, the CIA and the NSA both declare that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction including having photos of the weapons. Turned out to not be the case exactly. Bush's presidency is stricken with the cancer of Iraq, thousands of Americans die, and the CIA/NSA are left off the hook by the democrats. They blame Bush instead of the people who misled Bush. So both Bush and Trump have had problems with the CIA and the CIA has retaliated.

All the institutions are "deep state" problems to a president if he tries to cut their budget.

Watch how fast the military will turn on Trump if he were to do the smart thing and cut the trajectory of military spending.
