is it really brilliant though?
if we use twitter and Facebook for other purposes?
do you want Princess Slutface and Nina Dicknapper as "friend suggestions"?

Brilliant from BP's perspective.
But, providers have been using websites & social media for a while. Many AMPs/SubAMPs too. Keep the language ambiguous. No details concerning services. "No explicit language". All the same shit used on BP.
But, the Feds still have to prove intent to solicit, which means dumping a boatload of money into cases difficult to prosecute. Meanwhile, Jane Doe is back on the street, lawyer'ed up & msking money.

More advertisers are beginning to post a screen shot of a page from their Notes app containing the same text and emoji they would otherwise have posted before the format change. Not searchable, but it restores what was lost somewhat. Where there's a will there's a way.

it seems for someone seeking services you may not want to use your regular social media profile that you use with family, and friends because they may wonder about your new friends you have listed. also companies now look at your social media and they do pay attention to who you associate it, so it may make someone question your judgement or morality. not good if you looking for a job, or someone wants to out your nocturnal activates.

really they'll have to stop the images with the text, it's not any different than if they typed in a profile, for them the only images that would be totally safe are just pictures of the person nothing more with no text in them, you have to put everything on the social media sites for this to work

Using a separate profile is not enough:
https://gizmodo.com/how-facebook-out...ers-1818861596
If you are going to use FB for hobby purposes, which I personally think is a very bad idea, you need to have a separate account on a separate device that doesn't use your home wi-fi... and even that may not be enough since FB won't disclose what information they use and correlate.

My ECCIE Reviews
|
I took my personal FB down for this very reason ..and in part because someone from this site has figured out my real world info and created a fake fb page using photos of me. I've reported it multiple times and fb keeps telling me it does not violate any of their terms of conditions. Complete bullshit..but I've given up that it will ever get taken down. Now that page is friends with my family and old co workers from real world jobs in the past.
I'm pretty upset.

That is really sick on so many levels. First, it is completely incomprehensible to me the extent to which some people will go to hurt others. That really sucks what happened to you. And for Facebook to refuse to take it down when someone is clearly using your name and essentially stalking you is absolutely absurd.
Also I am disgusted with how non-transparent FB is in all of this. I understand it is a free service and 'we' are the product but to refuse to disclose what data they collect and how they use it is just unacceptable to me.
Make sure you actually deleted your profile. FB is very sneaky. The obvious option they present doesn't actually delete your profile, it just deactivates and hides it. But all your data, pics, etc are still there. You have to find the hidden advanced option to actually delete your account and all its data. Even then they have a 'buyers remorse' waiting period of a couple weeks before it gets deleted. It took a lot of work and double checking for me years ago when I went through it myself.
Hang in there kiddo!
