I'm not sure about whom you are speaking, but terminating a person for sexual harassment is "with cause," primarily because "it's against the law" and secondarily is a violation of the written policies of probably 99% of the companies with 20 or more employees. The "issues" with respect to the "slush fund" ... (1) other persons beside "sexual harassment" victims were paid from the "slush fund"; (2) more than likely "non-disclosure" agreements were a part of the settlements that may have been mutually sought by the victims as well to avoid details of activities from being publicized .... (these victims have "moved on" with their lives, established long term relationships, have children, families, and/or current employment that might be put in jeopardy.

A problem with "witch hunts" is non-witches get drowned or burned at the stake, too!

IF its just for a mere accusation of fraud though, then its NOT 'with just cause'. Just like if a store terminates someone for a mere accusation of theft of company property. NO facts, no evidence, just someone's say, that is not a 'just cause' firing.. AND YES i have seen people who DID get fired that way and sued, THEN WON..

But isn't there fact it is a 'secret slush fund' making it illegal..? AND IF they all signed NDA's, then those women now coming out about Conner and others, are in violation of the laws sinc they signed the contract (The NDA) to not speak about it..
