This is a general statement for all in the hobby. Why in the world would you accept anything other than cash. You are leaving a paper trail and that is just simply a bad deal. I could go into detail on how a paper trail makes cases easy if anyone wants to go that way. Do NOT cause yourself any more problems.
Cash !!!!!!!!

Because i do owen a legitimate business that i can have a reason for this transaction. I’m not your average provider... i have tons of RL stuff going on as well
But yes, CASH

I think the answer is good for both. Do your homework.
This hobby is not the most civic minded people doing their thing, just be ready.
Now at least 1 provider sees how it feels to be on the other side of the con.

Hi, Stella --
Can't say that I totally disagree with this sentiment, but under the circumstances, it sounds a little harsh. After reading your reviews, I'm very tempted to move up a planned visit to a good friend in the DFW area and spend some quality time in OKC while enroute (and returning!) All reviewers say that you are a genuinely nice person, in addition to your other talents.
I don't think that being paid for escort services is illegal in most places. I'm not an attorney, so I'd defer to SJ for legal opinions, but I have some experience with Square card. I know that you have somewhat more protection when the card is actually swiped, rather than just entering the account number; even better if you use the chip reader. Much more difficult for someone to claim that they didn't make the charge. Don't really know how much this would have helped in your case, though.
I'm an old retired guy who is NOT politically correct, so I'll just say that since you are a young, attractive caucasian lady, most gentlemen (and you only want to spend time with THEM) would expect some fairly thorough screening before being allowed to see you, so some amount of RL info would be appropriate. When accepting a credit card, particularly for a significant amount of money, it would be prudent to look at and compare the name on the card with one or more photo ID's. I would even have him write his signature on paper and compare it to his ID, if the charge is for more than you're willing to lose. (He can have that paper back after you look at it.) If they don't want to do that, direct them to the nearest ATM instead. Bad enough to work for an hour for free; call it 'character building'. What happened to you is a serious violation.
Take credit cards in the future, or not; your call. Nothing is 100% safe, but you can minimize your risk with a few precautions.
Stay safe!

Thank you for your kind words. I am one of the few ladies that do not have a “habit” nor do i have a pimp or live an out of the ordinary life. I appreciate all of my clients and show them nothing but respect for not only their time, but them as a meaningful person in this world.
If this ends up not in my favor, I truly believe in karma. So, in reality his house will probably burn down with his puppy inside.... jokes, all jokes.

So sorry that this happened - I hope it works out for you. I know it won't help much but you know I love to laugh and that can be fairly therapeutic. It sounds like you got "Al Bundy'ed" (you'll have to google "married with children" - it's way before your time) but he did a trick at the strip club where he would tie fishing line to a dollar and after tucking the buck, he would pull it back after she turned to leave.
I am aware that this is not a funny situation for you but sometimes - all we can do is laugh at bad shit happening. Hang in there

I work in a payment related industry. You will very likely be declined by Square and the money will be returned to the customer. Credit Card companies almost always side with the consumer UNLESS you can provide hard evidence that you delivered X service/product. Chargeback rules for credit cards favor the consumer unless the business can prove the customer signed an agreement or was delivered the goods promised. Generally they will ask for contracts for services, and for products - a receipt/bill of sale or a tracking number if you ship something.
Don't link your RL business account with a business such as this; a credit card company has to operate under the regulations of FINCEN as well as other government agencies; if they suspect anything that is linked to illegal activity or potential illegal activity they are required to terminate you - you dont generate millions or billions in revenue for them and they wont risk massive fines to keep you on as a client or risk any money transmission licenses being suspended over any client.
I spoke with you about this a few weeks ago; you will take this transaction as a loss - the money is gone. The client can claim he never received services and that he does not know you. If I had to speculate; his wife questioned the amount on the card, he couldn't come up with an answer and she/he called the credit card company to dispute; or hes just a degenerate and never intended to ever pay. Its unlikely the card was stolen, a charge in the thousands would get noticed quickly not 3+ months later; the card holder (your client) just claimed the card was stolen and used without permission - in this case he almost is guaranteed to get the money back since he claims no business arrangement with you and you cannot prove otherwise. Never accept credit cards unless you know the individual very well and have a trust relationship with them.
You're a beautiful woman and you are extremely intelligent - I know because I've spent enough time with you to know you are. This is a life lesson to not trust most people; contracts and making sure people are bound to pay are important aspects to business. I was burned early on in this hobby by a girl that did not honor dates I prepaid $5k+ for - never again. I will not give money until I have had a date with the girl or I've seen her 400 times and know shes honorable and can be fronted money

Yesterday, I got an email from square- he is now claiming the CC swipe was fraudulent. HE signed it and everything but of course there was no written agreement. Now, I feel conned. I filed a dispute of course and being that my square is linked to my RL business so I have good rep with square, they didn't remove the funds directly from my bank account. I have his name but now that I have been talking to a few professionals- I believe I was a victim of CC fraud myself, that he used a stolen cc to do this transaction. He was in a temporary furnished apartment said he was on business. We spent alot of time together and I am still in shock.

People that are saying "oh for once a provider sees how it feels to be ripped off" ummmm it actually happens often but we dont go crying about it everytime it happens bc this is the nature of the business sometime. You can do everything careful && all it takes is one time. Sorry that happened to you but alot of times it happens when we take a risk bc the money is alot

I dont accept cc. The most I've done was take a payment thru paypal while they were there && they ddnt leave until it was clear. I can do paypal a couple times especially if the client is reputable && ive researched them. If i cant reasearch you online im not trusting you. I kinda research everyone i see inline. I check their facbooks && even do a background check b4 i see someone.
