To the OP, if you have any assets, particularly financial accounts, then sometimes landlords will accept that in lieu of proof of income.

As far as being a smart ass, I actually meant the question sincerely. My experience has been that most people that are vocal about criticizing others rarely bother to turn the same critical eye back at themselves. I asked the question rather than just making the assumption. (That's something I don't recall ever seeing you do, so I'm not surprised you took it the way you did.)

Hon, not sure if this might or might not assist, but in San Antonio there are many "apartment finder" agencies and usually you will find a sympathetic female knowledgeable in the marketplace who often knows decent apartment properties willing to consider prospective tenants with less than stellar credentials and histories.

You might be to use the DFW InfoShare to find such an agency or even the salesperson.
