I wemt through Katrina as well. I moved here to Houston in 2011 from Louisiana so this is the second time I am going through this shit with damaged property. It sucks bad but it is the hand we have been dealt so I am keeping my head up.

There are a lot of folks who paid their taxes and LOST EVERY-FUCKING-THING that they had due to this storm.

I'm sorry, but 'Gov'ment' assistance is the only way that these folks are able to get by until they get back on their feet.
