Considering A NOLA Visit Next Month...Places to Stay?

Hiya folks!

It has been since April since I've visited New Orleans for all-star weekend. However I was a tourist and divulging in the good eats!

I've heard Metairie is a good option. Any other suggestions?

It's such fantastic news to hear you'll be returning to New Orleans Eva! If your schedule allows, I'd love to meet up.

From my perspective, Downtown offers more options when it comes to entertaining one's guest and also going out to see the sights. But like king snake suggested, there are some local gents who prefer Metairie. I've heard this is because Downtown is more congested and harder to find parking. If you opt to stay Downtown, I find the CBD to be a little more low key and easier to get around than the French Quarter.

I like metarie's courtyard Marriott. Or the the garden districts courtyard Marriott. Classy
enough that you can charge high class prices but not ridiculous, and they are discreet. Parking is no problem. Decent bar area & wine list. If you want downtown I'd recommend Hilton convention center.
