I've had it happen before, told the wife I was selling jewelry on Craigslist and he was inquiring about it for his wife....
Wife ended up apologizing to me AND him however he had to run and buy her something the next day lol

i get 100's of calls a week. Its easier for me to explain a number on my phone than a 2nd phone.

That being said, if my wife called someone, I'd expect a polite exchange of "why are you calling me? Or my number is in your husbands phone? I have no idea. Nope. Don't know him. What does he do? Oh. Well I have talked to a lawyer recently... but I didn't expect his wife to call me..."
