The Senate approved the bipartisan bill earlier this month.The measure speeds up the process for VA Secretary David Shulkin to fire employees, regardless of rank, and allows the agency to rescind bonuses if an employee is convicted of a felony related to his or her duties.
It also strengthens protections for whistleblowers.

Watched Platoon again last night. Fully respect all that served and today I would serve as well. However, in my 20s I would have done anything I could to stay out of the Military. If that makes me a coward, so be it. But I suspect many on here would have done the same thing Trump, Slick Willie and many others did. THAT is one of the reasons I have so much respect for those that do serve. Trump not serving does not take away his ability to call out someone that lied about their service. In fact I would think those that did serve would be happy Trump called him out. Lying about your service is a slap in the face of those that did. BTW - I feel the same about Police.
