A regular three year hitch: (assuming all goes well)
Army:
1week indoctrination
9 weeks basic training
Then advanced individual training, this varies 4 weeks to 52 weeks
Then 280 days or so pre op, op and post op recovery from sexual reassignment surgery
Then 1 year or so on actual duty
Separation from service
Then V. A. Care, physical ( the most common problem is the narrowing of the new vaginal opening, the body naturally wants to heal and close unnatural openings), hormonal and psychological for life
How about some kind of waiver from medical or psychological treatment for this?
But there is still the heightened instability issue, And I do realize everyone is different
But why put that on the military and especially the troops serving next to them
