xxx50 - senior noncommissioned officer (E-8, E-9) = 11B50 (or, as we shall see, 11B5M, first sergeant

So if you did what you say you did, data processor programmer there are 3 different codes 741B0 741C0 741D0
these are codes used during the Vietnam era

Thank you for the MOS education lesson. Again, not remembering my MOS from 45 years ago does not bother me in the least. For some reason, other than my possibility of having on-coming dementia, it seems to bother you a lot more.

well really it doesn't bother me a bit that you can't remember your MOS! I remember mine very well, I also can recite my serial number issued to me in 1968 when I enlisted, I'm proud of my service to are nation, but with the attitude you have about your service, I would say you are not! besides that there was another one on here who claimed to be a Vet and was nothing but a blowhard fat-ass that got his own ass banned carry on and Semper Fi just so you know I was a Marine not Army

I am totally unsure how you determined that I am not proud of my service. I served in the army for 21 months. Did nothing exceptional so I don't brag about my time in the service. I am proud that I did serve when asked to serve but I think the real praise goes to those that put their lives on the line while deployed overseas.

If you doubt that I did serve in the army from December 1968 until September 1970, so be it. If you are ever in the Austin area let me know and I'll be happy to show you my DD-214.
