While I disagree with what he wants to do, I do think this is a perfect example of how Cultures clash. Why do you think men are Circumcised unless it is a religious thing?

Circumcision regardless of the reasons, religious or otherwise is not a form of genital mutilation. The trend for many years now is to stop circumcision in new born males. Like anything else there's pros and cons. One con to uncircumcised males is there maybe a significant risk of cervical cancer in their female partner.

I agree with the risk of cancer, but that was not known when the trend started. It was originally popularized in America to curb " self abuse". While there is evidence to support it having benefits, that was not what started it.
I am not saying that I think people should or should not. I just wanted to show that the guy in Virginia is simply being an "American" LOL!
