Luxie, I wouldn't write off any city just because some trolls make the city forums appear unfriendly. Plenty of ways to avoid those peeps and still have a fine tour and meet even more fine ladies and gentlemen as a group. Not just in Austin, but in San Antonio, too.

I selected "other" because you did not have an "all of the above" option. I believe different people do different things for different reasons. Add in that we all have bad days where someone posts something that rubs us the wrong way, and before you know it we post some stupid shit that....10 minutes later....we wish we could take back. Lord knows I'm guilty of that.

Despite my vague answer, I have noticed one trend that depresses me. In general, there seems to be an "us vs them" attitude that underlies a lot of the postings on most of the boards I have visited. When either side lets their guard down for a minute, it is obvious. In general, the men on the boards tend to hold the providers in contempt. And the reverse is true, also: In general, the providers tend to hold their client base in contempt. As I said, this makes me sad.

This is not to say all providers hate all clients, or vice versa. I am reminded of the old Mary Poppins movie, where the mother is at her women's rights meeting and they are
singing about the movement. One line of the song goes something like this: "individually we love our men, but taken together, we find them rather stupid."

Yeah. Its kind of like that, on both sides. Again, that's too bad.

The main reason I come here is to flirt. I wish the the coed section posts were nothing but men strutting around like peacocks and the ladies giving come-hither looks with fluttering eyelashes. Those are my favorite kinds of threads.

I think a lot of these guys are pissed they have to pay for it. They alleviate their frustration by harassing these gals.

It is so easy for someone to hide behind a keyboard and type abusive slander or comments in someone else's direction.

I take the approach that the Coed Section is me walking into a party, a club, or a bar. There are plenty of individual conversations going on. As I walk around the establishment, I can choose to stop and participate in any conversation going on. Sometimes I am drawn into the conversation simply by the subject matter. I am not erotically attracted to anyone in that conversation and I might agree with someone in that group and I might disagree with another in that same group. Other conversations might draw me in due to one or two hot beautiful women that I notice are a part of that conversation. Sure, I want to say something they find appealing. Sometimes, I put my foot in my mouth. Sometimes, their true character comes out and they are no longer erotically appealing.

But at no time in those conversations in those establishments am I going to be verbally abusive or degrading. It isn't in my character.

It is sad that technology has made it so easy for guys and girls alike to hide safely out of sight and sling trash.

To the ladies that travel, as previously mentioned, don't avoid a city simply because of a bad coed board. Just post an ad and don't participate in conversations on threads in that City. There are fine men all across this great country.

I have been on the site for years but it's been as of recent that I've actually witnessed the, for lack of a better description, hate for the providers. It's mind boggling that these guys want our company but still bash us. If a particular lady isn't your type, fine, we all have preferences but to be outright disrespectful is so high school to me. The way some of these guys talk, you'd think they hated us. It's so juvenile & instead of upsetting myself, I simply ignore. I do agree that something should be done. Thugs also thrive on "reputation". To cross a thug in any way requires massive retaliation, since the point of thuggery is to prevent future challenges from anyone. That is why arguing with a thug is futile.

There is a specific case of this in Austin that boggles the mind.

Finally, in the real world, thugs get laid, and some men learn from this fact. The substantial subset of women who reward thuggery have some copability for training the thugs. If you want to minimize thuggery, reward nice guys, and not the thugs.

Some would say that you ought to ban the thugs. I disagree. Their examples of thuggery ought to be perpetually available. The fact that they are banned, and then come back under new anonymous handles is distressing.
