Let's Have A Little Fun
I figured that with the members of this board, this game could get interesting!
Let's say that you have the sudden need to run to Wal-Mart and are ready to mess with someone's head. What 3 items do you purchase to freak out the cashier?
Mine would be:
1. A bucket
2. Rope
3. The largest bottle of lotion they have
Feel free to get creative!

Hmm...
Condoms, super glue, and a commode plunger.
That should make them wonder...

Some day before I die,, I'm going to go up to the cashier at Wal-Mart or similar, 3 or 4 days before Halloween, and present for checkout:
1) A couple large bags of apples,
2) A dozen or so packs of safety razor blade refills
(this kind:
just so we're clear), and,
3) a dozen or so assorted packs of sewing needles, pins, fishhooks, and anything else I can think of that will fit the theme.
I figure that will get me on a number of watch lists...
Cheers,
bcg

I also considered a shot gun, a box of ammo, and a freshly filled bottle of anti-depressants, but I didn't want to go TOO far.

It's probably best to pay cash for those purchases!

It's more fun to slip items into unsuspecting people's shopping carts & then go to front of store & see their expression when they take the item out of their cart & try and figure how they got in there

I like the way you think! Another fun variation could be:
1. Pregnancy test
2. Plan B
3. Kitchen tongs
Last one from me, I promise!

I know what I'm doing next time I go grocery shopping.
On a slightly relevant note, my fraternity in college adopted a section of highway and cleaned up trash along it a couple times a semester. There was the usual roadside junk - roadkill, fast food containers, car wreck debris, cigarette butts, etc. But the weirdest things we ever found were, in sequence, a half-used package of birth control pills, a kitchen knife, and a mysteriously-stained bedsheet.
