1. Trump’s initial accusations specifically targeted Obama, whom The Times article does not mention. The independent fact-checking website PolitiFact rated Trump’s assertion False, and The Washington Post awarded the claim Four Pinocchios, its lowest rating, twice.

2. Referenced is an opinion piece written by Pete Hoekstra, a former Trump advisor and blatant partisan. So far this amounts to unsubstantiated conspiracy theory. But sadly for Trump partisans, the real proof is buried along with Vince Foster's body
Lots of controversy surrounds this guy. I think the only way to get the truth out of Hoekstra is to tie him down and waterboard him.

3. The only "tactics" are those used legally by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The bombshell was when Comey refuted the conspiracy theories (points #1 and #2) and confirmed that Trump is indeed under federal investigation.
