Question Dumb question!!

Ok, I wasn't an English major and being that it's not a word that I use in daily conversation, how the hell are you all pronouncing the name of this website when you have to say it to someone?
I can see it pronounced "etchy" ,like bocci ball with the 2 c's. Then there's "ecky", using 2 c's like "stucco". Or "exy" ,using 2 c's like "access". Or "essy" ,like 2 c's in "flaccid" (I know, let's try to avoid that haha). I know a provider that pronounces it "ee-cee", like "easy" only with a "c"?
Anyway,it's Monday and I'm putting off getting to work as much as I can and I'm more than happy to have a trivial distraction today lol!

Right, wrong or indifferent, I have always pronounced it "ee-cee" and several of the providers I have seen do also. Then there has been a couple of providers I have seen that pronounce it "ecky", but that is the only two ways I have ever heard it.

Haha, thanks SN! That post was the usual nonsense I think of when I've not had a whole cup of coffee in the morning lol. Glad you could play along!

Always figured ECCIE is an abbreviation....so I say it letter by letter E-C-C-I-E.
I don't think it's meant to be read out/spoken as if it's in short form/acronym like IKEA (Ingvar Kamprad Elmtaryd Agunnaryd).
BUT if what Biomed1 posted is correct then I'm wrong lol.

Until this thread, I'd never heard it called anything but "ecky".

It stands for Escort Client Community Information Exchange -- says so right next to the ECCIE at top left of home page.

Yes I know what ECCIE literally means lol. I meant I always figured it was just an abbreviation VS it being an acronym. Should've worded that a bit better. Just because there's a slight difference in something being an abbreviation vs acronym. You don't pronounce one like you do the other (and OP asked how do you say the name of the site) . So...you wouldn't say ECCIE like ec-ky as if it was short form (like an acronym (which is why I used IKEA as an example)) ... just E-C-C-I-E.
