Colt McCoy was in fact a far better qb than Vince ever was. even if he didn't win an NC. he's still in the NFL making a million a year and where is Vince? trying out for the CFL, the minor leagues.

I met Vince many times at a night club in Houston that a friend of mine owned. He is dumb as a stump and can barely speak English. Mack Brown would just draw arrows and tell Vince you have 2 choices on this play.

that was one great game. if USC had 30 more seconds who knows? they had a kicker that had a legit shot at 55-60 yards. many arm chair QB's criticized Carroll for going for it on 4th and 1. i don't. he knew they couldn't stop VY even if they had tried to punt away to put him farther away.
if USC had made that first down the game would have been over. Texas stuffed them at the line. people complained Reggie Bush was on the sideline. that too was the correct call. it was Lindale White who hurt UT up the middle, Bush was never a factor. USC came out in double TE formation with a lead blocker for White up the middle. it was the right call.
