My sister in law has superior gaydar.

Years ago she pointed out something about my cousin's socks at a family wedding reception and declared he was queer as hell.

She was spot on.

Yeah if you really think it's a choice to be gay, then we can turn the question around - at which point did you make the decision to be a heterosexual?

See how it is? You never made a conscious decision about it any more than they do. It's not a choice, they were born that way just like you were born heterosexual.

vita man it concerns me that you're staring into gay guys eyes for that long. Got something in the closet you wish to share with us? Is this thread a passive-aggressive attempt to come out without coming out?

I always wondered if being gay was a choice or a psychological condition. We have a guy at work who is gay and we talked about the gay lifestyle on several occasions. I finally got the nerve to ask him when he knew he was gay. He said about 9-10 years old he had an idea, however he knew that he would be fighting the system and that people would treat him with disdain without ever knowing him as a person. He also sad as an adult he know people would hate him without knowing him. Basically he told me didn't choose this, but accepted it.

At spotting some gay guys. Of course some are sissy-boys and they're easy to spot, however you have some tough guys who are also gay that would be hard to spot.

I think the biggest thing we have to ask ourselves is this.............if you had a 10-14 year old son and you knew his male teacher was gay, would you have a problem with this?

If you have a 10-14 year old son and he has a heterosexual female teacher, would you have a problem with it? Because if you don't, then why would you have a problem with a gay male teacher?
