That's not to say that there are not checks and balances but local decisions are very very rarely overturned by decree and even then only at the behest of the ownership. There is a mechanism in place to bring decisions or questions to the table for a discussion in modtardville, consensus is often reached, and then it is voluntarily acted upon by local staff in the interests of maintaining consistency and/or establishing precedent.

If modtards do not act within the vision or live up to the expectations of the owners of the board they do not remain moderators for long. Aside from that, local staff are given a good deal of leeway.

Sorry but you're shit out of luck those of you who feel like Houston mods should use that leeway to impose draconian interpretations of the guidelines in order to censor the opinions of the 'assholes' you don't like.
