I just recently found out about this.
Viagra is legally available as a generic in the US,or at least the active ingredient is

there is a drug called Revatio that is a 20mg dose of sildenafil ,the active ingredient in viagra that is available as a generic prescription for about 1.50 a pill
it is used for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension but the law allows a doctor to write a prescription for an off label use.

if your doctor were to write this presctiption

Take 2 to 5 tablets as needed for sexual activity


it would be perfectly legal and teh result would be viagra at $4.50 - $8 a dose.

Cut in half and the price is half.
And your example is wrong 2 x 20 = 40 not 50.

I paid $200 for Two Hundred 100mg tablets that actually work. Since I only use them as an occasional fun recreational supplement it's been well over three years since the purchase and I've only gone through half my supply.

The OP is correct. I know docs in town who will write this as an ED med to save patients money. If your doctor won't do this he/she is an asshole. What I would do is try an online script shop like quickrxrefill. I have used them to get Viagra and Levitra prescriptions. The cost is about $80 but it's completely legit and you have to have an online consult with a physician. The consult is a CYA formality since 90% of their business is hardlegs wanting boner meds.

I haven't asked for the generic yet but I assume it's going to depend on how much of a dipshit the consult doc is. Also FYI, if you're thinking of going to one of those doc-in-a-box clinics, do your homework. Those places can be a major ripoff. I went to one once for a Viagra script and the jackoff wanted $150 for the consult and tried to finger my asshole. Which is ironic bc later I paid a spa chick that same amount to... The point is everything is relative is what I'm saying.

Sildenafil 20mg is available at 30 tablets for $10 if you're a Sam's Plus member. Membership is $100 per year though, so you have to figure that in if you're not already a member.

I believe Sam's and Costco let you use the pharmacy without a membership. I know Costco does.

You can use Sam's Club pharmacy without a membership, but you probably won't find it much of a bargain. Pricing of generic sildenafil without premium membership is the same as WalMart, according to GoodRx.
