The thing about this site is that it's a bit of a time capsule. If the OP wanted a real answer, he could do what I just did and go to the Indy review forum, sort by thread start time, and start with the oldest. He might be surprised. Hint: the first 5 reviews are all $250 or more for one hour GFE. Three incalls, 2 outcalls. Don't remember seeing Greek under the activities. Go see for yourself. As FIH suggests, the average at that time was probably lower, but it also seems that $250 was far from not normal.

The better question the OP asks is how there can be so much variability at the same price point. That's a tough one. I think FIH has a good take on it - LOL @ "slut glut."

I think one factor not yet mentioned in this thread is transparency. It's a rather opaque market for obvious reasons. Sellers have far more reliable data points than buyers.

There's also the question of comparable transactions. What do we mean by a normal hourly rate? Is that for a one hour GFE incall with a verified independent? And what does GFE include anyway?

Bottom line: know what you want, know what you can pay, and figure out how to make your ends achievable with your means. There is no inalienable right to pussy.

Everything is relative. If you see a $400/hr provider and you felt like you got your money's worth, that's all that matters. There are $160/hr providers who are superb, and $500/hr ones who suck (no pun intended). What we should keep in mind is that, like providers, not all hobbyists can be put in a single category when it comes to the economic side of the hobby. There are cheap bastards, guys with deep pockets, big tippers/small tippers/no tippers (regardless of what they can afford), etc. etc. etc.

Wow. This thread certainly caught my attention! Being a provider who's business WAS booming in Houston pre eccie days (aspd/hd etc) my prices were always MORE THAN REASONABLE AND WAY LOWER THAN I COULD HAVE (SUCCESSFULLY) CHARGED and I started at 200 ...later raised to 250/300...
Moved away for a while, returned (not providing full time as I was before) but have LOWERED MY RATES UPON RETURNING DUE TO THE RIDICULOUS DROP IN THE "NORM"

Providers offering services for less than 100 have flooded the industry and sadly made it hard for those of us who REFUSE to compete with super low specials (even though the level of service is not even close in comparison...you get what you pay for) but the fact is that with my reputation nearly forgotten I find myself having to take the hit on income when I need it most. I lost EVERYTHING in Az (personal life and bad judgement on my part oh well) so I come back hoping to rebuild my life and have found constant struggle because of the new found "NORM"

It's because of misconception of guys like the original poster of this thread that creates this illusion that it's ok for girls to be charging 50 blow n go's or whatever and make the quality girls look like we are over charging when we have actually taken a HUGE pay cut and are NOT booming Like we should be (and deserve to be!)

It's sad and frustrating to think that asking 200+ is too much to ask for our time!

Some of us still prefer quality over quantity ANY DAY and there for can't charge super low rates without having to up our volume which would only result in lowering quality of service. Seems like a downward spiral for the hobby

I think I can understand where you're coming from OP. You're a guy who works hard for what money you have and you're not a baller, so any increases from the women here can be rough. Especially if you have a particular type.

Here's some things you can do:

• Save up. This requires forgoing your usual playtime rate and being willing to wait to afford the woman you're going for.
• Realize that your tastes and pockets don't line up and see some lovely women who work more in your range. This means being willing to compromise on what you want.
• Be willing to try an agency. They generally have dependable, varied girls for a solid rate.
• Try a ISO post. There are women here who will likely work with you if you simply ask. These aren't likely to be the 500hr girls, though.

On the flip side, I've talked with quite a few women and the stories they tell me of what they have to go through with some of these crazy-ass dudes makes me think they earn their rates.

Why is that what you want? Because, it is the only way YOU are ever going to control the market place. The way it stands now the ladies set the prices and we (the corporate we) choose whether we wish to partake. If we stop partaking one of 2 things will happen ... the ladies will drop their prices or the supply of ladies offering services will shrink. (In reality - a combination of the 2 is most likely to happen, but I think you can glean my point) If YOU want to choose the pricing, you need to set it up in such a way that YOU the buyer set the price point as described above. If your price is too cheap for the marketplace - in other words none of the hookers call, or the hookers that call aren't "your cup of tea", then you will raise your price until you get what you want at the price that you want.

Another really easy way determine true value is to use the review system to give super honest reviews. Post the real undoctored pictures that no one else will post (thanks skittles). And just stop being such pussies!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If we fail to differentiate between great looks, great service, and great menus, then isn't it really our fault if pussy becomes a commodity and every piece of it has the same value as every other piece of it? And what is the ladies incentive for improving said service? Texas, in general, enjoys some of the lowest rates for Independents in the US. If you cannot afford them, then perhaps stick to trolling Telephone Road.
